Beyond the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, rest massive volcanoes that shape such a picturesque view. However, the further you travel away from the city, and into the forest towards these volcanoes, the higher chances you have of being a victim of a wild animal attack.

And this is exactly what happened near the small village of Termalniy in the extreme east of Siberia in 2011.

Remembering Olga Moskalyova

Olga Moskalyova's mother said about her daughter, "My daughter was such fun. She was so cheerful, friendly, and warm.'

Olga Moskalyova dreamed of becoming a psychologist and at 19-years-old and exceptionally intelligent, she was thoroughly on her way. Nothing was going to stand in Olga's way. In fact, it was the opposite. Doors were opening for her in life. Days before the attack, she had received her driving license and graduated with high marks from her music school.

"My daughter was such fun. She was cheerful, friendly and warm," said her mother Tatiana.

Tatiana knew her daughter could occasionally joke around with her lovingly, which is why she initially believed that her daughter's cries for help were just that.. a joke.

"But then I heard the real horror and pain in Olga's voice, and the sounds of a bear growling and chewing. I could have died then and there from shock."

Her daughter's screams were just as real as they were blood-curdling.

Olga Calls Her Mother

I've noticed in a few online forums people requesting to hear the audio of Olga Moskalyova being mauled and eaten by the brown bear. Not only does the audio not exist, but if it did, it would certainly traumatize those that heard it.

Only Olga's mother, Tatiana, heard her daughter's desperate cries and screaming.

"Mum, the bear is eating me!' ' Mum, it's such agony. Mum, help!"

Tatiana immediately phoned her husband Igor Tsyganenkov, but sadly, he was already dead by the time his phone rang. According to news sources, Igor died by the bear, "overpowering him, breaking his neck and smashing his skull."

A second call came in to Tatiana nearly half an hour after the first. On the phone was Olga. She was undoubtedly in incredible pain and suffering through a tremendous loss of blood.

Olga held on long enough to make a third and final call to her mother an hour after the attack started. Barely audible and on the verge of death, Olga tells her mother,

"Mum, it's not hurting anymore. I don't feel the pain. Forgive me for everything. I love you so much."
Olga Moskalyova's final call to her mother. Her last words spoken are heart-breaking, "I love you so much."

Hunters arrived after this call and killed Mama Baer and her three cubs.
